And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN, through a democratic process of this world, not intruded into the assembly on their own or by any qualification.

This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and price hike on our regular commodities…
Think of the great democracy we have………….

    First of all,
This is not the correct detail of the salaries of MNA(s). MNA(s) get less and even with this argument taking correctly, what’s wrong for a legislator being paid, handsomely?

    secondly,
Parliamentary form of Democracy is the best system on earth by far. However it’s the competence of an MNA and commitment which is in doubt and not the system.

There is nothing wrong with everyone being paid fairly — and that is just and desirable. But there is everything wrong with being overpaid lavishly at the cost of the people, especially when hunger and unemployment is so widespread. There is no sense of justice, shame or guilt left. Remunerations should be in balance with the budget spread out to cover all public needs. That has never been done, and its getting worse. it is immoral and indecent that some should be paid over 2.5 million in cash and perks per month when the majority of workers don’t even make 7,000/-, the old minimum wage. None of these dubious legislators would get a fraction of what they’re getting here, from the open market because they haven’t got what it takes to deliver and don’t even intend to. There is everything with a system that does not take into account and clearly lay out what belongs to the public commons and what is owed back in return. Democracy assumes that all citizen-voters have the requisite information, education, and rights to exercise their will. That does not even exist. Most sections of society are not even represented. and all is based on patronage, class, money and muscle power, so it is not appropriate for Pakistan at the moment. If the system lacks the mechanism to remove the crooks, it is not worth having. So far it has only helped the crooked to entrench themselves further, to increasingly defy and violate the law, and to take the money and run.

Barrister Chisti is right. There is nothing wrong with the system of Democracy. Its mainly the people ,who run and participate in any system and bring the difference.Sadly ,the people sitting in the assemblies are from among us and are the product of our Nation. We all have to see whats wrong with our values system.

In reality the remunration az not have been limited to the above stated figures.
Misuse of power can be widely seen in present day Pakistan.
Every govt. office looks like an office of political parties.
Family members of ruling clan can be seen travelling around the world and shopping laveshly, which the have never done in their life before.
Transparency international have decalred that corruption has increased 400%.
We know govt. had been successful in diverting the anti terror aid from military to civil sector but no transperency have been maintained in distributing billions of dollars.

Could not have imagined how people hate their representatives, did you not vote them for this job? Let’s forget that part, anyone from within you all has ever thought or by any chance know how much is required of a member? Did you know electors actually line up to ask for cash from the MNA’s for their day to day needs? (This is never provided by the government to them) Its us who make them exploit their power, most of them are the way just because you and I want them to be like that, else they don’t stand a chance to be elected again for their honesty and morals.
When we say they get paid back for the expenses they encure, even a clerk gets paid for his bikes petrol when on official duty, wheather he’s govt or a private company’s employee. Where on the contrary MNA is 24/7 on their duty for whatever duration they hold the title. Having any sense at all a person will instead argue the point that 1 million is nothing compared to what they actually spend in 1 year.
It’s a shame how we only think of disregarding our politicians instead of think once over the fact how difficult the job is, especially in a third world country. Where it’s the representative who has to manage your financial problems, your security, your law and order, not just the setting of the boundaries but to the depth for ever elector.
Step forward and in to their shoes for once and you should figure where you are wrong, or at least do yourself a favour and do not stamp for the same person again.

There is nothing wrong in the system.Democracy is a system.Nothing is wrong with the people also. There is no substitute.People have to vote for either one Vulture or another.Actully elections have become so expensive that it impossible for honest people to paricipate in it.MNA, MPA are spending in crores. When someone spends in crors,he has to earn in billions.Nobody is KHUDAE KHIDMATGAAR.These people call this expenditure as investments. Then sometimes, elections are engineered and rigged also.Howevre the fault lies in intellegence organizations who don’t report the correct position of candidates regarding their expenditure.I will not mention any other constituency.I will talk of my own district KARAK.If proper investigation is carried out,not only both MPAs would be disqualified but most of the candidates would be sent to jail.so i will not curse the system,i will curse those who are not perfoming their duties properly.
